Today, my wife Cindy and I decided to get out of the apartment and hit the road. “Road trip time!” We started in Springfield, MO., went to a place called Pythian Castle on the North side of town. Then we went for a bite to eat at a place called Cedars. If you like Country Fried Steak this is the place to get it. It was huge and we both were full by the time we finished.
After dinner we continued our adventure by heading West on I-44.(Destination unknown at the time). Found a side road to see if I could get some scenes of some clouds that were billowing up but did not find a good location to get any good shots. So I drove on. We had to make a pit stop (rest room break) and also got a soda. Then we moved on headed for points unknown. I decided to head up towards Kansas City. As we approached Lamar, I saw a sign for Prairie State Park. Since it was getting close to sunset I figured that would be a good place to see what the night’s sunset would show.
It was a fairly decent sunset but cameras didn’t do it justice so I’m leaving some of those shots out. I did get a few good ones though. I also like to get close-ups of the clouds. No these are not from a plane. I hope you like them. If you have any favorites please let me know.
Here we go, and before I forget, thank you for stopping by and checking these out. Now, for your viewing pleasure, I present to you, “Yesterday’s Adventure”.
